No Sew Quilt

No Sew Quilt

Good afternoon. Took the day off yesterday, so here I am.

I mentioned a few days back that I am expecting a new little granddaughter in December. Although I do sew, this is such a cute idea. Something my daughter found on Pinterest and requested it. Of course this “Nana” is more than happy and excited to do it.

This will be the perfect size to wrap around her in the car seat, the stroller, or if she’s napping.

Supply List:
24 Fat Quarters (You can literally choose any print or solid, or mix and match)
Scissors
Large eye darning needle
Tape measure or ruler
Batting
2 yds material for batting

That’s it! Not bad, huh?

I washed and dried all the “fat quarters”, since I’m allergic to the sizing in material, I thought it might not be a bad idea. Lord knows I hope she doesn’t inherit “Nana’s” allergies. Then you will want to grab your iron and press the squares. Just makes it easier to work with.

Next, you will want to cut each fat quarter into a 15″ x 15″ square. The scraps that you have left from this step, put aside as you will need them later on in the project.

This should be enough to get you started. But be sure to stay tuned, as I will follow with the next step tomorrow.

Until then, have a wonderful evening.
